Project Children is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1975 for the purpose of bringing both Protestant and Catholic children from Northern Ireland to the United States for six weeks each summer and allows them to be children for a short time.
Project Children of Texas is responsible for implementing and supporting this extremely worthy cause in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. To help underwrite this expense, the Texas Region is involved with a number of ongoing projects. To learn more about these fundraising events, please access the links above for either North Texas or South Texas.
Project Children is a success and it is growing! Everyone involved becomes a member of the extended family of these remarkable children, and soon becomes hooked on the idea of giving them a chance to experience the wonders of childhood outside the sectarian strife that is such a large part of their everyday life back home. We have all become family through our participation in Project Children, and look forward to welcoming more members of the community into that family, and are sure that you will come to appreciate the unique experience that is Project Children!
We appreciate all the help we can get and we need new volunteers to assist in making sure that these projects continue to receive the public and corporate support so very necessary to continue towards our goal.
